January 2026: Our first blog!

Hello everyone! We're Mooi vAn AnnA, and after five months of exploring and learning in the online world, we'd like to introduce ourselves. It's been and continues to be a journey of discovery for us, one in which we can share not only our passion for jewelry but also our love of gemstones and precious metals.

My name is Marieke, and I'm the founder and designer of Mooi vAn AnnA. I'm proud to say that I handcraft all my designs in my own studio, and every piece of jewelry you find here is unique. The idea for this business stemmed from my desire to combine beauty and self-confidence. I design bracelets and necklaces using 100% natural gemstones. It's important to me that the stones are of good quality, not tinted or even imitation. Besides the gemstones, I use high-quality materials like 14k gold-filled and 925 sterling silver in my designs, but I also want to incorporate a positive message into my creations. Named after my daughter Anna, the name of our shop reflects my pride as a woman and my belief that every woman should feel beautiful and confident.

Before embarking on my adventure in the jewelry world, I worked for years in Corporate HR and HR Consultancy as an occupational and organizational psychologist. Although I found my work deeply fulfilling, circumstances forced me to muster the courage to change career and pursue another true passion: designing gemstone jewelry. For me, a design is more than just its appearance; it's also about the origin, history, symbolism, and cut of the gemstones. Each stone tells a unique and authentic story, and I believe it's important that these stories are shared.

With Mooi vAn AnnA, we want to create a community where women inspire and support each other. We're only at the beginning of our journey, and we're excited about the future. In the coming blog posts, we'll tell you more about what drives us, the stories behind our jewelry, and give you a glimpse into our creative process. We'll also introduce our team step by step, so you can get to know us better.
